SEEDING is the first project to address the relationship between social economy enterprises and digital transformation, focusing on its impact on employment and working conditions. Digitalisation is a crucial issue for the social economy, as it brings both challenges—such as job losses linked to automation—and significant opportunities. New digital technologies enable faster exchanges of good practices and support collaborative, circular, and short-circuit economic models that align with social economy values.
The project aims to improve understanding of how the social economy can respond to digitalisation by assessing its effects on employment and industrial relations, maximising its benefits while managing risks for workers, and contributing to the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights, particularly in relation to job security, adaptability, fair wages, and decent working conditions.
